Three Kia technologies that make life in winter easier

Canadian winters are known for their difficult driving conditions and their frigid temperatures. Kia offers a host of features made to keep you safe and comfortable during the long winter months, no matter which vehicle you choose.

UVO Intelligence connected car services

Every Kia model is available with the UVO Intelligence suite of connected car services that allow you to control many functions of your car from a distance, including the ability to remote-start the engine, which pre-heats the cabin before you have to step in it. This is also helpful when there is snow on the glass, since the defroster can melt it off without you having to brush out in the cold. If you own an electric Kia model, you can also preheat the interior while it is still plugged-in, which doesn’t reduce your driving range.

Available all-wheel drive

Many Kia models are available with all-wheel drive, which adds to your safety by making the vehicle more stable when driving on slippery surfaces such as deep snow or ice. This also gives you more confidence and allows you to keep driving where many other vehicles would risk getting stuck. All-wheel drive is standard on the K5, the Stinger and the Telluride, and it is available on the Seltos, the Sportage and the Sorento.

Heated seats and steering wheel

Every Kia model, even in their entry level trim, have heated front seats as part of their standard equipment. You can be comfortable in the winter without having to spend a fortune, since event the least expensive Rio has front heated seats. Every Kia model also offers a heated steering wheel and most models are available with heated rear seats, which let your rear passengers enjoy their time in your vehicle even more.
